Baseball Down Under - Junior Bandits v Kanto All-Stars

Australia and Japan clash on the baseball diamond as the Brisbane Bandit’s development team – the Junior Bandits – play a three-game international test series versus the Kanto District League All-Stars at the Palm Meadows Baseball Complex in Carrara.
Games start at 7:00 PM on Tuesday the 27th, 7:00 PM on Wednesday the 28th, and 4:00 PM on Thursday the 29th. Admission is free. 



THE AUSTRALIAN ACDC PINBALL COMPETITION

Timezone Surfers Paradise will host the Queensland's State Final of "The Australian ACDC Pinball Championship" on Saturday, 1 December 2012. Not only that, there will be more than 20 pinball machines available for you to see & play, such as: Adam's Family, Indiana Jones, Judge Dredd, Lord of the Rings and many others. Saturday 24 November - A voyage through the records from 10am to 12.30pm:
Take part in Queensland State Archives and National Archives of Australia seminars on how to search shipping recrods for your family's history of arrival in Australia. Learn more about the Queenland Heritage Register and Queensland's historical maritime sites.
Sunday 25 November from 10am to 4pm: Lectures on the Orient Line shipping company and Queensland's fascinting maritime history including our early shipwrecks.
Sit with members of the Oral History Association and tell your story of coming to Queensland as a migrant.
